Antony currently plays the barman and factory worked Sean Tully on Coronation Street.  Antony asked the producers for a part on the show and he helped create the character of Sean with some of the show\\\\\\\'s writers.

Antony played Alexander on the original UK version of Queer as Folk and appeared in episodes of Absolutely Fabulous as Damon.  On the 13th January 2007 Antony won the second series of Soapstar Superstar and donated his £200,000 winnings to the Elton John Aids Foundation.

In 2005 Antony won the Most Popular Newcomer category at the National Television Awards for his role in Coronation Street.  Antony also won the 2005 Inside Soap Award for Best Newcomer and Funniest Performance.  In 2006 he again won the award for Funniest Performance.  At the 2007 British Soap Awards Antony won the Best Actor award which was voted for by the public.  He also took home the Best Actor Award at The Inside Soap Awards, again voted for by the public.  In total he has won 7 awards for his character Sean.
