Manny Norte is a DJ, presenter and music producer.  One of the most long-standing and respected figures in the UK hip-hop scene Manny has become known as the 'name you can trust' and deservedly so.

Born and raised in West London, Manny started out as a dancer.  He used to dance in music videos, college fashion shows and was a regular in battles.  It was as a member of a dance crew that Manny developed his tastes for music, buying records, practising mixing and creating mix-tapes.  Watching and learning from established DJ's in the early 90's he became involved in a London movement of DJ's, artists and friends called 'Rotation'.  Running events across the capital, by 1994 they had developed a weekly club night in the heart of West London at 'Subterrania'.

As a DJ Manny has gone on to perform at practically every top club in the UK, including Fresh n Funky, Smoov at Ministry of Sound, Tipsy in Glasgow, Love Dough in Newcastle, Milk and Hip City in Belfast, his services to the UK club scene have won him two MOBO awards - Best Club Night 'Rotation' and Best Club DJ - not to mention mutliple nominations and accolades.

Manny is regularly called upon by huge names such as Jay-Z, Beyonce and Rihanna as their DJ of choice when in the UK.  He's played at every notable British event including album launches, the BRITS after-party and Naomi Campbell's Fashion Relief Party.  Racking up tours with US artists such as Nas and Nelly, Manny's work has taken him to countries such as Malaysia, Hong Kong, Sweden, Geneva, Russia, Ghana, Kenya, Barcelona, Poland and Greece to name but a few.  He was recently invited to be the resident DJ at the F1 Grand Prix in Bahrain.

Manny has also made a name for himself on the radio.  Following four years as resident DJ / Presenter at BBC 1Xtra Manny moved to the Kiss network taking control of the popular Friday night mix show, signalling the start of the weekend from midnight until 2am every week

Manny's charm, confidence and expertise means he is as comfortable in front of the camera as he is behind the decks.  Having amassed an impressive list of credits, Manny is developing an ever increasing presence on television.  His contagious personality and in-depth knowledge of music makes Manny a popular choice of presenter.  He has featured heavily on MTV's urban music channel MTV Base, appearing as the featured DJ on 'Base Lounge', a roving reporter on 'The Lick' and hosting his own 'DJ Takeover' show.  He has fronted 4Music's '50 Days Of Summer' reporting from some of the UK's hottest summer festivals and is the voice of popular music show 'From Day 1' which can be seen on T4, 4Music, Kiss TV and The Box.

Having recently released his second single 'Give You My Number', Manny continues to display his expertise as a DJ, presenter and music producer, proving that when it comes to hiphop Manny truly is the 'name you can trust'.
