Mikey along with Ronan Keating, Shane Lynch, Keith Duffy and Stephen Gately formed Boyzone in 1993.  They were all active in the Dublin arts scene when they got together and decided to form an all-guy vocal group.

Their first single was a cover of the Spinners 'Working My Way Back to You' which started the rise to superstar status in the UK as well as Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Their first album 'Said and Done' was released in 1994 and shot to number one in the UK.  Their second album 'A Different Beat' also topped the charts and sold over two million copies worldwide.

Boyzone scored a musical hat trick with their next album 'Where We Belong'.  Released in Europe in 1998, it became their third consecutive album to hit number one.  Their last album 'By Request' was a complilation of their greatest hits and was also a massive success.

Mikey completed the massive reunion tour with Boyzone 'Back Again ... No Matter What' in the summer of 2008 which consisted of 36 sell out shows.  The first new Boyzone single 'Love You Anyway' was released in September and entered the UK Charts at number 5 followed with an album release which charted at number 4. 

Mikey along with the rest of the band completed their seccond massive tour since their reunion finishing the dates in June 2009.

Mikey can currently be seen on ITV1's massive hit show 'Dancing On Ice'.
