Sid Owen has played the character of loveable Ricky Butcher since 1988.

Prior to his role in Eastenders he was in the film Revolution in 1985 alongside greats such as Al Pacino and Donald Sutherland.  He has also appeared in I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here in 2005 where he came third and played the part of prison officer Danny Kimber in ITV's Bad Girls.
